Movie makers issue a casting call for a three-legged dog who has overcome great odds to star in the character of Scrap in the upcoming film, Lucky and Rich.
Calling all three-legged dogs! Dogs everywhere missing a limb have the opportunity to become a star in Geoff Talbot's upcoming film, Lucky and Rich. The Movie, Lucky and Rich According to Geoff’s wordpress blog (seven sentences) the movie will be a 24 hour Bohemian love story between a Czech prostitute called Lucky and a homeless New Zealand bum called Rich who is also the owner of Scrap, a three-legged dog. The two meet by happenstance late one night on the metro in Prague. Scrap, with his tremendous heart and wonderful personality, plays an important role in helping to transform the lives of these two broken people. Casting Call for Dog CharacterGeoff Talbot, a New Zealand veterinary surgeon and film maker, has opened a worldwide casting call for a very unique dog to play the role of Scrap. The character of Scrap will be missing, most likely, a hind limb and be of medium size with “big cinematic doggie eyes.” Geoff is searching the world over through media and social networking for just the right dog to fill the role of Scrap. Scrap must be a dog with lots of heart who has overcome great odds. Scrap’s character may be three-legged but he more than makes up for the missing limb with his personality and heart. Scrap’s story begins in a barn with his mother and brothers. It’s not clear at what point he loses a leg or when he meets Rich but more of Scrap’s story and personality can be found at The Adventures of Scrap. Casting Requirements offers more on what kind of dog will be chosen for the movie role. The casting call ends June 21, 2009 and the movie is set to be filmed in the winter of 2009 to 2010 in Prague.
